Girls love bad boys, but we all have to stop falling for them! I found this post while scrolling through the trendy #MCM ("Man Crush Monday") hashtag and I had to send it to our designer! Ironically, the first collection we ever launched donned many of the names mentioned above. The Mr. So and So names are connecting girls everywhere, and it's so fun that we all can agree! Are you tired of seeing all the cutesy posts of other girls boyfriends? And ladies, I know you love Channing but he's done so many more photo shoots besides that famous GQ one (plus, he's happily taken by his beautiful wife, and we don't want to be Miss Home-Wrecker now do we?)  Instead of showing off the guy that breaks your heart over and over, TODAY we want YOU to post the Mister that's breaking necks! The handbag that makes you pull down your aviators to get a better look... The Misters are taking #MCM and turning it into #MisterCrushMonday and trust me, there is #NoFilterNeeded, xoxo.

Misters in the Mountains

If it's going to continue to snow on this side of the country, we might as well make the best of it...in Vermont! We're packing up the boys and heading on a secret mission, road trip style. Personally, I've never been...but something you may not know about our designer is that she LOVES to snowboard! She's definitely had her share of memorable ski trips in the gorgeous state. Some major Mister brainstorming has come from the mountains! We'll be busy working, but a girl can't resist some new digs from local boutiques on her down time. Valentine's Day Idea

Valentine's Day is right around the corner and one wrong move can get you in a lot of trouble with your fashionista! Heart-shaped cardboard boxes are so overrated these days! I mean, it is what is on the inside that counts anyway...Here's a cute idea, gift your lady with a clutch of your choice, and fill up the "other guy" with her favorite wrapped candy. Chocolates and handbags... there's no going  wrong. Speaking of what's on the inside...you already know that these bad boys make quite the impression outward. However, after predicting purple the color this year, our designer decided to re-vamp the collection giving you a surprise pop of color when you open each Mister up! "I'm feeling purple this year," Nicole D'Andrea says! It's never the same at the office when our designer leaves the East Coast to head out to the factory in LA. Sure, the Manhattan Beach sunset iMessages I get every night are great, but nothing beats the sneak peeks that pop up on my phone of next month's collection. I'm seeing red! The transformation of these boys becoming men amazes me ;) Above is a before and after shot of Mr. Right Now... he came a long way from a simple little sketch. He's finally taken his form, in the shape of a hard clutch! We can't wait for you to see more (and I can't wait to get my hands on one of these red hots!) The studs aren't going anywhere, xoxo.

So many changes coming soon, but don't worry the Misters aren't going anywhere! The Mister Collection will always exist - they will always be our classic pieces and the #1 guys in our life. Things to keep a close eye on this upcoming season: the d'andrea website's scheduled face lift ;), colors, colors, colors (...I have a gut feeling about purple, that it's going to be the color of the year...) new faces on this dream team, where in the world these bad boys are headed, and where some will be staying - right at the boutique around the corner waiting to be picked up but you. New Year New Bloggers

Last week, I showed you my picks of some Holiday looks featuring my Misters! But now, it's your turn. Walking With Your Mister in a Winter Wonderland

What did you do over the weekend? I took my favorite handbag walking in a winter wonderland! As the snow began to fall, I fell deeper in love with my Mister. There's nothing like a snow day with your main man. You probably know that d'andrea handbags are made up of the finest Italian cow and lamb skin. So, we are often asked a few questions about how to care for your new leather boyfriends. Well, I've got the answers! And, you may be surprised to hear that these bad boys have tougher skin than they do feelings ;)

A few tips...

1. Always store him in your d'andrea dustbag.

2. NEVER keep him in plastic!

3. Invest in a good leather conditioner.

4. Remember, leather has imperfections - a sure way to tell that it is real - however, keeping him in the sun too long may cause some discoloration/fading. 

5. Wet spots/oil spills/grease mishaps, don't worry! A dry cloth will be your best friend! Do not rub, but simply blot to absorb.

Maniac Monday

It's always a manic Monday, but today - it's become a Maniac Monday! A new guilty pleasure is reading the Pittsburgh quintessential guide to fashion and style. If you've been following us for a while, you'd know that Pittsburgh holds great meaning behind a lot of these Misters! I love this quote from the article in Maniac Magazine The Mister Collection by d'andrea handbags: "Show me a woman who doesn't love a handbag and I'll show you a liar." Well, if you do happen to love a good handbag, we could also show you a few more liars. They go by the names of Mr. Player, Mr. Arrogant, Mr. Stalker and Mr. Never-Again!

I love this feature by Jenna Pelletier from Sunday morning's The Providence Journal newspaper on Nicole D'Andrea and her fabulous Mister Collection. This article was an exciting one because it took place in her home state of Rhode Island, where our designer was born and raised! It was great to introduce Jenna, a fellow Rhody girl to these bad boys and see her really have fun with the names!

The response was amazing from all of our d'andrea lovers the first time around, so I'm back at it again to share some secrets of the past! Now, I don't mean to dish it out...but this guy's had it coming, and you know what they say "if you can't take the heat..." and yeah, this hook-up was definitely hot.  If you're new to this pr girl's blog, I'll fill you in quick. Each week, one by one I'm revealing each ex-BF these Misters are named after. The best part is that I don't have to mention any names, and these guys still know exactly who they are...Next up on my hit list: Mr. One-Nighter. Every girl's had one - that shameless rebound with the guy you pick up from the bar, while trying to get over that other guy you just can't seem to shake (in this case, if you thought the "other guy" Nicole was trying to get over was the Mr. Emotionally Unavailable-Arrogant-Lover one in mind - then you've guessed right. Side note: could this one potentially be Mr. Right-Now? Now THAT is a whole other blog post in itself!)

The beauty about the ONS is that you can completely make a fool of yourself and not have a care in the world. Piss him off while driving by his exit, send him that "waving" emoji with a little 'beep beep' to let him know that even when you're in town, he's still not going to be coming around! #sorrynotsorry. To be honest, I'm surprised he even has the Mister title, he isn't even saved by his real name in her phone! Now thaaaat you have to work for.

This PR Girl, and her Misters.

After a positive start to the d'andrea blog, I decided it was about time to share a little bit about your new favorite PR Girl. My name is Jenna, and I've been writing all of these blog posts in my chic black and white chair, at my sleek white desk, all from my office here on the East Coast!  It all started as a little girl who would cut up her older sister's latest issue of Vogue - with a mother who made sure I always left with house with my hair perfectly teased. I'd have to say I never really realized how much I was interested in fashion until I felt a restraint/disconnect from it in high school. I attended private school, where the mandatory uniform was a pleated navy blue skirt, paired with an equally boring cotton polo t-shirt (similar to the pink one Lindsay Lohan wore in Mean Girls on Wednesday...pre-hab.) The girls of Gossip Girl make styling up their uniforms look so easy! However, this is where I learned how important accessories are to a girl's wardrobe. Even in your worst outfit, there are ways to personalize it, making it more fashion forward. Be creative with your handbags (d'andrea, duh!), headbands, jewelry and flats! That's why I love the business I'm in, because I believe in our handbags, that they are staple, timeless, pieces.

My "everyday" handbag is perect for the PR girl, he's big enough to hold my laptop, ALL of my Iphones, my Samsung Galaxy Camera, my makeup bag, an extra pair of shoes. You know, the essentials: Mr. Arrogant ♥

Of course my job has it's perks. The first being that I get to spend every day with our designer, Nicole who has become the best mentor and friend to me! The traveling, meeting people, and working in handbag heaven, with an endless supply of Misters isn't so bad either. But my favorite part, and the purpose of my blog, is connecting with all of the d'andrea lovers out there! I love sharing our crazy stories behind the scenes of this fashion frenzy with you guys! I love hearing from you, and having you share all of your wild adventures with your latest boyfriend! NYFW: Behind the Scenes of My Crazy World

Sorry for leaving you with a cliff hanger in my last post dolls! Have you been wondering who the latest lucky lady to meet our Misters is? Well, I had the exclusive invite to kick off fashion week right at the GBK and FGI Opening Party hosted by the one-and-only, legendary stylist behind Sex and the City: Patricia Field. She is everything you would imagine, sassy, classy, and dressed to kill.  Closets all over the world are inspired by the women of this show. I've always considered myself more of a Samantha - except I have similar taste in men as Carrie, with a Mr. Big of my own. A handbag designed by my favorite d'andrea girl, that will never leave you on your wedding day, dressed in a Vivienne Westwood! ;)

The next couple of days of New York Fashion Week were unreal. And even though we were toughing it out in our 4 inch heels enduring 12 hour days, I still can say that it went by way too fast! We spent Friday, and Saturday at the Empire Hotel where we had the pleasure of meeting some well known people in this industry! Jay Manuel and Miss J of “America’s Next Top Model” gave our designer Nicole their stamp of approval on her handbags. Celebrity Stylist June Ambrose and her fabulous daughter showed up, showing us all a thing or two about working the camera! Ice-T and Coco Austin showed up, and let me tell you us girls have never been so star struck! Coco even landed herself a silver studded Mr. Never Again. I'd love to see how Ice is going to match his outfit to this one...I was excited to meet the hilarious “Big Ang", her daughter Raquel, and Carla Facciolo of VH1’s “Mob Wives." Adrienne Bailon stunned all of our Misters when she walked in the room, she is flawless!  Some more Sex and the City ladies, Katie Findlay and Chloe Bridges of The “Carries Diaries” had a few laughs about carrying the same handbag! Then, Siggly Flicker and Nicole really hit it off! They have a very similar sense of style - peplums anyone? And to namedrop a few more girls on the list, Po Johnson from “La La’s Full Court Life” and Annaleigh Ashford of Broadway’s “Kinky Boots” left the lounge, and went home with Mr. Right-Now! On our downtime, Nicole and I had the chance to run around the city and play a bit! You know we had to check out what Bergdoff's, Barney's New York and Henri Bendel were carrying. Oh, and we just couldn't leave empty handed from the New York Zara. I'm totally loving their hippie headbands, I picked up a few. Everything is bigger and better in NYC, and speaking of bigger and better, we experienced the Dream Dry blowout bar! My stylist gave my hair more volume than I knew even existed. We carried our diva moments into the night, while having drinks either by the bar, or rooftop with one of our new favorite girls, blogger SocietyGrl.

It's good to be home and back in the office where I belong with all of my Misters! After this event, this PR girl has a lot of work ahead of her. But it won't be long until we hit the road again...I wonder what city these boys will take over next, and the surprises to come! xoxo

The Misters Bring Back Old New York: in Black and in White

It's the first week in September so you know this PR girl is totally busy! The only two things on my mind is Misters and Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week! But when I do get a chance to dream about what's in store - I can't help but think about old New York City in my favorite light, done right - in black and white. Fun fact: Something you may not know, our designer Nicole draws much of her inspiration while designing from 1940's fashion!

The Misters are set for their big NYFW debut, officially sponsoring GBK Productions Styling Lounge. During this two-day event at the Empire Hotel, celebrity and VIP guests will make their way from the Lincoln Center, to accept their exclusive, black and white evening clutches from the much anticipated SP14 Mister Collection. Today, I got a preview of these bags being made and I wanted to pass them along to my favorite girls! By the way am I allowed to say badass on here? Because that's what these guys are... badass!

 

Oh, and about the unofficial rule of fashion: "no white after labor day"...We say rules are meant to be broken and hey, these boys are bad!
