Misters in the Mountains

If it's going to continue to snow on this side of the country, we might as well make the best of it...in Vermont! We're packing up the boys and heading on a secret mission, road trip style. Personally, I've never been...but something you may not know about our designer is that she LOVES to snowboard! She's definitely had her share of memorable ski trips in the gorgeous state. Some major Mister brainstorming has come from the mountains! We'll be busy working, but a girl can't resist some new digs from local boutiques on her down time. Secrets of the Bad Boys in Your Closet: Part 5

Our designer Nicole was feeling a little inspired this week, and I'm sure you can guess why...because there is a new Mister to name!!! By now, we don't take any of these Misters as a loss - because you, I, and our designer receive nothing but fashionable gain (a sense that the girls these bad boys end up with could use.) When this time comes around, it's sometimes bittersweet, but always a treat for you ladies! We'd never send you in blind, unlike our designer's most recent decision for meeting her muse; so we've narrowed the choices down to two: Mr. Match and Mr. Insecure. So far, it looks like Mr. Insecure is in the lead. I guess this silly boy wasn't the only one around here letting his insecurities eat him up. We've definitely had a good laugh naming lots of handbags (all in good fun, of course) but we love turning to our d'andrea lovers for some help! What do you think? Also, if you could personalize your very own Mister with your ex-bf in mind, what would he be called? I know mine! Heartbreak on Springbreak

The only heartbreak you'll want to deal with during Spring Break! This Mr. Right Now definitely has the key to our designer's heart. Is that a hotel key I see? Where are you headed on a getaway to during your vacation? And more importantly which handbag are you taking with you? You know our (many) bags are always packed! And with Mr. Arrogant on my arm, I don't know if I'll ever look back! Make sure you read our guide to traveling in style:

Which Mister's hand to hold...

You know the thought process that goes behind picking out an outfit for the night; who, what, and why you're dressing for. The clothing usually comes pretty easily, you've been thinking about that part all day... but do you ever get stuck when it comes to accessories? Well we have a number of clutches and that will be your go-to guys for multiple occasions in our Fall collection, you will no longer have to waste time speed dating through your handbag boyfriends ;) It's one of the last things you grab while you're heading out the door,  and while we stand by the fact that our bags are very versatile (you can wear them with any outfit) there are some situational factors that'll have you calling on one Mister rather than the other. Ask yourself these questions while deciding whether you're going to wear your cross body or clutch.

The decision...

• Does your top have a lot of design elements in the front, or a deep V that you may not want to cover up by going cross body?
• Which will be the perfect pop of for your simple color pallet?
• Are you wearing a lot of accessories that'll urge you to go for subtlety?
• Will your hands be full all night with say a drink? 
• Is the place you will be storing your handbag leather friendly? (Sticky bar tops just will not do!)
• Will you be coming home with more things than you left with? Size matters ladies!

Mood Handbags

Feeling a lil blue lately? It just seems like it's one of those weeks where time is moving by slowly! Seemingly to be the calm before the storm, as next week the craziness is about to begin in the fashion world. Not only is New York Fashion Week kicking off this Thursday, but the launch of our new collection is slowly approaching. But, how amazing is this new color? What I like about this type of blue leather is that with different metal accents, the color becomes more richer...almost purple! Different lighting brings out the different shades. The minute I saw Mr. Never-Again in person, I knew he had my heart and that I wasn't getting it back any time soon. It's as if there is a handbag in this Mister Collection to match every mood you're in... in my case, it's all the more reason for this girl to get more handbags ;) xoxo.

So many changes coming soon, but don't worry the Misters aren't going anywhere! The Mister Collection will always exist - they will always be our classic pieces and the #1 guys in our life. Things to keep a close eye on this upcoming season: the d'andrea website's scheduled face lift ;), colors, colors, colors (...I have a gut feeling about purple, that it's going to be the color of the year...) new faces on this dream team, where in the world these bad boys are headed, and where some will be staying - right at the boutique around the corner waiting to be picked up but you. New Year New Bloggers

The Halloween Spirit

We're definitely in the Halloween spirit at the d'andrea office! We've decorated for the occasion with these pumpkin lover Misters - these fashionistas do NOT do scary, only candy chic! Boston Fashion Week: Models and Misters

Most of these Misters are true Bostonians at heart – Did you know that some of Nicole’s greatest loves were born in this city!? So, in honor of Boston Fashion Week, as it comes to an end, I thought I'd share how these boys celebrated their time…one word: Models! We spent October 2nd and 3rd at the Emerald Lounge inside the Revere Hotel partying it up VIP style. The runway was heating up with the hottest trends to come in SP14 that were hand selected from CKP Showroom on Newbury Street! I caught this steamy love affair between these gorgeous models and their new arm candy all on camera! NYFW: Behind the Scenes of My Crazy World

Sorry for leaving you with a cliff hanger in my last post dolls! Have you been wondering who the latest lucky lady to meet our Misters is? Well, I had the exclusive invite to kick off fashion week right at the GBK and FGI Opening Party hosted by the one-and-only, legendary stylist behind Sex and the City: Patricia Field. She is everything you would imagine, sassy, classy, and dressed to kill.  Closets all over the world are inspired by the women of this show. I've always considered myself more of a Samantha - except I have similar taste in men as Carrie, with a Mr. Big of my own. A handbag designed by my favorite d'andrea girl, that will never leave you on your wedding day, dressed in a Vivienne Westwood! ;)

The next couple of days of New York Fashion Week were unreal. And even though we were toughing it out in our 4 inch heels enduring 12 hour days, I still can say that it went by way too fast! We spent Friday, and Saturday at the Empire Hotel where we had the pleasure of meeting some well known people in this industry! Jay Manuel and Miss J of “America’s Next Top Model” gave our designer Nicole their stamp of approval on her handbags. Celebrity Stylist June Ambrose and her fabulous daughter showed up, showing us all a thing or two about working the camera! Ice-T and Coco Austin showed up, and let me tell you us girls have never been so star struck! Coco even landed herself a silver studded Mr. Never Again. I'd love to see how Ice is going to match his outfit to this one...I was excited to meet the hilarious “Big Ang", her daughter Raquel, and Carla Facciolo of VH1’s “Mob Wives." Adrienne Bailon stunned all of our Misters when she walked in the room, she is flawless!  Some more Sex and the City ladies, Katie Findlay and Chloe Bridges of The “Carries Diaries” had a few laughs about carrying the same handbag! Then, Siggly Flicker and Nicole really hit it off! They have a very similar sense of style - peplums anyone? And to namedrop a few more girls on the list, Po Johnson from “La La’s Full Court Life” and Annaleigh Ashford of Broadway’s “Kinky Boots” left the lounge, and went home with Mr. Right-Now! On our downtime, Nicole and I had the chance to run around the city and play a bit! You know we had to check out what Bergdoff's, Barney's New York and Henri Bendel were carrying. Oh, and we just couldn't leave empty handed from the New York Zara. I'm totally loving their hippie headbands, I picked up a few. Everything is bigger and better in NYC, and speaking of bigger and better, we experienced the Dream Dry blowout bar! My stylist gave my hair more volume than I knew even existed. We carried our diva moments into the night, while having drinks either by the bar, or rooftop with one of our new favorite girls, blogger SocietyGrl.

It's good to be home and back in the office where I belong with all of my Misters! After this event, this PR girl has a lot of work ahead of her. But it won't be long until we hit the road again...I wonder what city these boys will take over next, and the surprises to come! xoxo
