Secrets of the Bad Boys in Your Closet: Part 5

Our designer Nicole was feeling a little inspired this week, and I'm sure you can guess why...because there is a new Mister to name!!! By now, we don't take any of these Misters as a loss - because you, I, and our designer receive nothing but fashionable gain (a sense that the girls these bad boys end up with could use.) When this time comes around, it's sometimes bittersweet, but always a treat for you ladies! We'd never send you in blind, unlike our designer's most recent decision for meeting her muse; so we've narrowed the choices down to two: Mr. Match and Mr. Insecure. So far, it looks like Mr. Insecure is in the lead. I guess this silly boy wasn't the only one around here letting his insecurities eat him up. We've definitely had a good laugh naming lots of handbags (all in good fun, of course) but we love turning to our d'andrea lovers for some help! What do you think? Also, if you could personalize your very own Mister with your ex-bf in mind, what would he be called? I know mine! Photo Shoot Fun + DROP DATE!

Going through my iPhone camera pictures after a photo shoot is always surprising. After a long day of camera flashes you don't realize how complex the hours prior had really been! Seeing the final product makes it all worth it, but there's nothing like a behind the scenes shot. Now, I can't show you much or give away too many of the new colors, but below is a few of our concepts for the upcoming 2014 Mister Collection. I can and will tell you that we shot approximately 50 different bags and our designer even got behind the lens! It's so fun watching her in hair and make-up for a change! Last week, I showed you my picks of some Holiday looks featuring my Misters! But now, it's your turn. I love this feature by Jenna Pelletier from Sunday morning's The Providence Journal newspaper on Nicole D'Andrea and her fabulous Mister Collection. Beating Cancer In Heels... and now with a Mister on your arm!

Another great event in NYC and for a great cause! Last night, designer Nicole and the greatest Mister of them all: her dad, attended Shopping Night Out - an event created to raise awareness during Breast Cancer Awareness month while giving back to the organization. Ladies shopped pink Misters with a yummy pink cocktail in hand, while mingling with some favorite reality stars and awesome DJ's!

The greatest thing about The Mister Collection is the versatility. What's amazing about our designer is that she always is hands on during the process of creating each  and every piece. She definitely is not afraid to get her hands dirty! Carry him one of two ways: zipped or unzipped. Not only is the double zipper stylish, the expand-ability also gives you more room in case you're the "travel heavy" type!

Secrets of the Bad Boys in Your Closet: Part 4

Happy Monday and I hope you all had an amazing Columbus Day long weekend! I couldn't take a day off from my Misters and their d'andrea lovers! Everybody's always watching in this world of fashion, it never sleeps...so I decided to let you in on some more new secrets. Now I know my usual gossip hour takes place on Fridays, but this week we have a big event in NYC and I just cant wait a whole weekend to tell you all about it! Hopefully I can try to sneak away from the party to post a little #OOTD! Let's just say the Misters will be meeting a Misses, who happens to be a housewife with amazing style, and a whole lot of gossip and drama of her own! Any guesses? Don't worry, you'll find out shortly - but for now let me tell you a little bit about Mr. Heartthrob, and how your favorite designer learned that you can go home again. Shop Mr. Heartthrob Here!

No matter how many Misters follow, none will ever really fill Mr. Heart Throb’s shoes. After falling in love a few times, and in a few different cities, Nicole decided it was time to move home for a little while. With a click of her red bottoms, she realized there really is no place like home. Of course, not much has changed - and the guys remain the same. With the same jobs, the same spaces, the same group of friends, and the same old smile, and sense of humor that you just can't get enough of! Mr. Heartthrob is your comfort zone....The high school sweetheart, the quarterback, the homecoming King. And no matter what, whenever you're in his presence he'll always treat you like a Queen! So you may ask her why not him? However, while Nicole's busy designing all over the world, taking over one handbag at a time, she needs someone that can keep up, and Mr. Heartthrob is just not that guy! The Heartthrob will always be nothing more than the Home for the Holiday type...

Boston Fashion Week: Models and Misters

Most of these Misters are true Bostonians at heart – Did you know that some of Nicole’s greatest loves were born in this city!? So, in honor of Boston Fashion Week, as it comes to an end, I thought I'd share how these boys celebrated their time…one word: Models! We spent October 2nd and 3rd at the Emerald Lounge inside the Revere Hotel partying it up VIP style. The runway was heating up with the hottest trends to come in SP14 that were hand selected from CKP Showroom on Newbury Street! I caught this steamy love affair between these gorgeous models and their new arm candy all on camera! OOTD: Dressing Up with Our Designer!

We're FINALLY jumping on the "outfit of the day" bandwagon, but hey, at least we're arriving fashionably late...When my favorite designer sent me hers this weekend I knew I had to share it with you all! Nicole was rocking all of her signature essentials in one outfit for the perfect day-to-night "wedding look". Of course, she took Mr. Right Now out in black as her date.

Moving on to the LBD (you can never go wrong) is none other than a James Jeans James Icon mini. It's officially Fall so you can no longer go bare-legged ladies! A rule with only one exception of course, if your boots are thigh high. Nicole chose a simple pair of tights from Vicky's Secret. No runs guaranteed!

Secrets of the Bad Boys in Your Closest: Part 1

Current relationship status? My heart is currently taken...and sometimes breaking...by all the bad boy Misters in my closet! But I'm not the only one with a closet full of studs. Some of you may be wondering "why the misters?" or "how does Nicole come up with the names?" and the most frequently asked "does she really have THAT many ex-boyfriends?" Though it's already been revealed that Mr. Emotionally Unavailable, Mr. Arrogant, and Mr. Lover are all named after the same guy...I've finally got the go ahead to reveal to you some more secrets about the boys that have inspired your new favorite collection of handbags! You may be surprised to know that some of them aren't even named after ex-boyfriends! There may have been another lucky guy in Nicole's life who became her muse. I can't lie, some days we spend hours at the fabulous d'andrea office gossiping, sharing secrets, and swapping stories...and hers are too good not to tell! Every couple of blog posts I will reveal the origin behind one bag, before you've been introduced to every single one of these Misters! Up first in the hot seat: Mr. Stalker.

Mr. Stalker is the guy Nicole's fallen in love with a few times, but every time he just leaves her wondering "why?" Mr. Stalker's been stalking for so long that he's earned his Mister title. I hear this doesn't make the original d'andrea Misters happy....because they aren't fans of this bad boy either! Boys will be boys, and brothers will always try and protect their sisters! (Shhh, we don't mention him by name when they're around...) He's the guy who makes you want to turn the "read" off on your Iphone, the one who makes you slam that same phone back into your handbag at the nail salon, and opt for a magazine instead - oh, and don't forget those blocked calls you get every Saturday night! He's the type who you only keep around for when you're desperate for a date to a wedding, because you know he'll come running with a snap of a finger...that he's been dying to put a ring on! But, even sometimes his stalker-ish tendencies can't help but leave a girl secretly flattered.

The Misters Bring Back Old New York: in Black and in White

It's the first week in September so you know this PR girl is totally busy! The only two things on my mind is Misters and Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week! But when I do get a chance to dream about what's in store - I can't help but think about old New York City in my favorite light, done right - in black and white. Fun fact: Something you may not know, our designer Nicole draws much of her inspiration while designing from 1940's fashion!

The Misters are set for their big NYFW debut, officially sponsoring GBK Productions Styling Lounge. During this two-day event at the Empire Hotel, celebrity and VIP guests will make their way from the Lincoln Center, to accept their exclusive, black and white evening clutches from the much anticipated SP14 Mister Collection. Today, I got a preview of these bags being made and I wanted to pass them along to my favorite girls! By the way am I allowed to say badass on here? Because that's what these guys are... badass!

 

Oh, and about the unofficial rule of fashion: "no white after labor day"...We say rules are meant to be broken and hey, these boys are bad!
