ENK Vegas: Here Comes the Nostalgia

It's that time of year when New York dies down and Vegas becomes the fashion capital of the US during Magic Market Week! I'm so sad to not be missing out on the show but I can assure you that while our designer is in Vegas she's left me lots of Misters to play with. A touch of Spring on the East Coast for me during the storm, while she unveils the Fall 2014 Mister Collection in the West. The energy is always so live at ENK and of course I'll be bringing you all the details as they come. Here comes the nostalgia...the diary of a d'andrea PR girl actually began during the last trade show in August on this very laptop sitting on a balcony overlooking the strip. I can't believe how much we've grown since then... and even thinking back further to one year ago in February to our very FIRST show! We are so thankful for our first year and all our loyal customers/fans! There has been so many surprises and we have met so many great people! Our team always loves to see some of your faces - so if you plan on attending be sure to stop by Booth 19173 if you're ready to experience heartbreak like never before, xoxo.

Before and After

www.dandreahandbags.com
It's never the same at the office when our designer leaves the East Coast to head out to the factory in LA. Sure, the Manhattan Beach sunset iMessages I get every night are great, but nothing beats the sneak peeks that pop up on my phone of next month's collection. I'm seeing red! The transformation of these boys becoming men amazes me ;) Above is a before and after shot of Mr. Right Now... he came a long way from a simple little sketch. He's finally taken his form, in the shape of a hard clutch! We can't wait for you to see more (and I can't wait to get my hands on one of these red hots!) The studs aren't going anywhere, xoxo.

$50OFF To StyleFixx Shoppers and YOU!

This week we spent two nights in the city for a StyleFixx event! It was great to see all of Boston's fashionistas come together in one beautifully designed venue. We set up shop in the perfect location as some gorgeous ladies came by, played dress-up, and picked out their Misters to take home! I can't lie I left these bad boys a few times to stop by and see our neighbors over at the Smashbox Cosmetics counter...I'm definitely a makeup girl! Misters and Makeup, a girl's weakness.

Below are some pics from my POV! We are always so happy to meet some of the d'andrea lovers, and  to make new fans. Our designer tries to make special appearances at as many events as she can. If you missed your chance this time around, don't worry I've got a hookup for you. Signature Shape

Why are Mr. Precarious and Mr. Never-Again the most popular Misters on the market? The answer is easy, their asymmetrical design. Bags like this are hard to find. But our designer Nicole wanted to bring you TWO different versions of our signature shape and style. She didn't just think outside the box with this idea, she redefined it completely - and then wrapped it in leather ;)

In this collection we offer these structured bags with different styled flaps. One, with a classy quilted feel, and the other with bold angular details. It's funny that these two have so much in common, yet are so different; With opposing meanings behind their perfectly fitting bad boy names. Which Mister would you rather give your heart to?

The d'andrea Girl's Lethal Weapon

We're feeling a little edgy this week - maybe it's because of some certain ex-boyfriends, or we're just on guard due to the mischief surrounding the craziness of Halloween! Either way, what better way to express your mood than through your style? It's Friday, you've made it through the week...breath, and strut through the weekend with you're black eyeliner, thigh high boots, and these rocker chic Misters. They are definitely giving off the "don't mess with me" vibe! Spikes and studs are on a high trend alert... they're everywhere! And hey, they come in handy when someone gets outta line. Would you want to get the nudge from one of those bad boys? Ouch, I don't think so! If looks could kill, which handbag would be your weapon of choice?

The Halloween Spirit

We're definitely in the Halloween spirit at the d'andrea office! We've decorated for the occasion with these pumpkin lover Misters - these fashionistas do NOT do scary, only candy chic! Don't leave your handbag home alone for this October 31st...they're already dressed in their costumes, going every year as heartbreakers. Halloween isn't about the trick or treating anymore, it's all about style. Here's a few ideas to having a high fashion Halloween!

1. Before you hit the party dressed up as your favorite Hollywood starlet (Styling Ideas Here)...
Fill up your Mr. Arrogant with some candy to pass out to the kids! They'll love taking goodies away from these bad boys.

2. Every d'andrea lover needs some d'andrea Decor - Stack your Orange, White, and Yellow Mr. Right Now clutches too look like your favorite treat: Candy Corn!

3. Store away a secret stash in your Mr. Precarious to satisfy your cravings throughout the night. He holds just the perfect amount to leave you not feeling too guilty. Don't worry! You'll make up for the calories in dancing.

Have a happy and safe Halloween! Don't forget to tweet us your costumes ideas using the hashtag #MisterCollection, xoxo

Versatile Misters

The greatest thing about The Mister Collection is the versatility. What's amazing about our designer is that she always is hands on during the process of creating each  and every piece. She definitely is not afraid to get her hands dirty! Also, Nicole designs the bags specifically to how she likes to wear them, as well as taking into consideration how modern day ladies style their accessories! Below is some of our most versatile Misters, get to know a little bit about how they work ;) xoxo

Style him three ways: With an adjustable leather weaved strap, you can carry him shoulder length, and cross body. Or you can opt out for the detachable chain completely and carry him as a clutch!
neveragain_pink_6_large

Carry him one of two ways: zipped or unzipped. Not only is the double zipper stylish, the expand-ability also gives you more room in case you're the "travel heavy" type!

Buckle Mr. Player up with three different lengths to go over your shoulder. Wear him crossbody for a carefree night out, or detach the strap all together to just throw into your larger handbag.

With the option to go crossbody or hang from your shoulder, you be also be surprised to hear of an old trick that I've recently learned myself: knot him up at the very top for a shorter, clustered, and classic look.

The possibilities are endless with these Misters! We'd love to see your versions of how you style yours!

Secrets of the Bad Boys in Your Closet: Part 4

Happy Monday and I hope you all had an amazing Columbus Day long weekend! I couldn't take a day off from my Misters and their d'andrea lovers! Everybody's always watching in this world of fashion, it never sleeps...so I decided to let you in on some more new secrets. Now I know my usual gossip hour takes place on Fridays, but this week we have a big event in NYC and I just cant wait a whole weekend to tell you all about it! Hopefully I can try to sneak away from the party to post a little #OOTD! Let's just say the Misters will be meeting a Misses, who happens to be a housewife with amazing style, and a whole lot of gossip and drama of her own! Any guesses? Don't worry, you'll find out shortly - but for now let me tell you a little bit about Mr. Heartthrob, and how your favorite designer learned that you can go home again. Shop Mr. Heartthrob Here!
No matter how many Misters follow, none will ever really fill Mr. Heart Throb’s shoes. After falling in love a few times, and in a few different cities, Nicole decided it was time to move home for a little while. With a click of her red bottoms, she realized there really is no place like home. Of course, not much has changed - and the guys remain the same. With the same jobs, the same spaces, the same group of friends, and the same old smile, and sense of humor that you just can't get enough of! Mr. Heartthrob is your comfort zone....The high school sweetheart, the quarterback, the homecoming King. And no matter what, whenever you're in his presence he'll always treat you like a Queen! So you may ask her why not him? However, while Nicole's busy designing all over the world, taking over one handbag at a time, she needs someone that can keep up, and Mr. Heartthrob is just not that guy! The Heartthrob will always be nothing more than the Home for the Holiday type...
Do you think she's actually met "the one" yet? But remember... I still haven't spilled much about Mr. Right Now yet! Tweet me your thoughts with the hashtag #MisterCollection ♥♥♥ xoxo

Secrets of the Bad Boys in Your Closet: Part 3

It's Friday morning - the end of yet another work week and the start of a long Holiday weekend. I hope you grab your new Autumn lover Mister, and go out for some Fall festivities! If you're like me you're going to need a shot of espresso, and a little extra pumpkin in your chai to jump start today. But hold on, because your guilty pleasure is back! Friday means one more thing...and no I'm not talking about pay day...I'm talking about the 'Secrets of the Bad Boys in Your Closest!' If you're in a new relationship with these Misters and this is your first time stopping by this PR girl's blog, I'm revealing to you some more secrets about the boys that have inspired your new favorite collection of handbags! Trust me, you'll be fully committed, and surprised - after hearing a little more about Mr. Arrogant. As mentioned before, he's my favorite boy, the guy I'm always carrying. But I have to admit, I stole our designer's look, because he's Nicole's partner these days too. It causes some double takes at our daily lunch spot that we're always rocking the same handbag, but the Misters don't care...they love the attention!

arrogant_yellow_1_large

Mr. Arrogant has A LOT of personas: a sibling, a co-worker, an old classmate. But lately, a certain ex-boyfriend has taken on the Mr. Arrogant title. Each one has a lot of similarities.Despite his bad boy impression, along with arrogance comes an Emotionally Unavailable, and Loving side to him too ;) He's a little selfish, high-maintenance, talks a big game, and put on the disappearing act for long periods of time. Although you think he just doesn't understand you, and isn't there, he always comes through at the last possible second! Even if it is by giving you a quick phone call while he's in a rushed situation. He's the guy who likes to play games; sometimes, we even joke that he's reading a manual about how to talk to girls! (There's no need to wait two full days in between each text message! If she wanted to write you a letter, she would - UPS would be faster than your responses!) Mr. Arrogant has enough of his own baggage and some room for yours too. But JUST  a little bit, because put a lot on his plate, and he'll run scared. He is the perfect Mister to have on any confident woman’s arm, because an arrogant guy, would never go for a girl that he was not proud of.

♥♥♥

I love to hear from you, and hear about your secrets!!! Are you addicted yet? Which Mister are you dying to know more about? Tweet me your answers to @dandreahandbags, and don't forget to use the hashtag #MisterCollection! xoxo

Boston Fashion Week: Models and Misters

Most of these Misters are true Bostonians at heart – Did you know that some of Nicole’s greatest loves were born in this city!? So, in honor of Boston Fashion Week, as it comes to an end, I thought I'd share how these boys celebrated their time…one word: Models! We spent October 2nd and 3rd at the Emerald Lounge inside the Revere Hotel partying it up VIP style. The runway was heating up with the hottest trends to come in SP14 that were hand selected from CKP Showroom on Newbury Street! I caught this steamy love affair between these gorgeous models and their new arm candy all on camera! See for yourself below, and be sure to pick up these Misters for yourself here, to bring to and create memories in your own city!

❤  ❤  ❤

Did I mention that we held a contest to give away our very own Limited Edition "Boston Strong" Mr. Precarious?  He is the only one of his kind, and was specially designed for the 'Fashion is our Sanctuary' Fashion Show held back in May. This event was a very special one to us because it benefited The One Fund. Now, we are proud to say that the newest owner of this handbag will be going to one of Boston's very own Fashionista's! Stay tuned to hear the winner later this week, we will be sure to hashtag #MisterGiveaway on Twitter, so make sure you are following @dandreahandbags...xoxo

FALL in Love with Our New Misters: Orange is the New Black!

There are two more days left of Summer until it's "officially" Fall - but if you're thinking like me, Fall's right on schedule. It began weeks ago when the pumpkin spice Starbucks cups took over your Instagram timeline; come on you know you're guilty too! The unbearable school bus traffic struck the streets of your city. You're devoted to your favorite TV show that's back on the air (I mean a girl could never get enough of Stephan and Damon.) You can barely shut your closet because it's overstuffed by oversized slouchy sweaters. Lastly your combat boots have been back in your closet since the day it fell just under 70 degrees.

Speaking of edgy, even though it's a little bit chilly, the new guy in your life has gotten extremely hot! I'm dying to share with you that our designer has done it again! She's come up with a whole new exclusive set of colors for just in time for Fall. Her inspiration may have come from her very own favorite TV show....Let's just say orange really is the new black! You can count on these Misters to ALWAYS be fashion forward, and one step ahead of the rest of them. While you're trend setting with your new "it boy" Mr. Right Now, picking apples, carving pumpkins, indulging in Halloween candy, spending time with your loved ones over a Thanksgiving dinner - we'll be working on the handbag to you that will be on your Christmas list! xoxo

This PR Girl, and her Misters.

After a positive start to the d'andrea blog, I decided it was about time to share a little bit about your new favorite PR Girl. My name is Jenna, and I've been writing all of these blog posts in my chic black and white chair, at my sleek white desk, all from my office here on the East Coast!  It all started as a little girl who would cut up her older sister's latest issue of Vogue - with a mother who made sure I always left with house with my hair perfectly teased. I'd have to say I never really realized how much I was interested in fashion until I felt a restraint/disconnect from it in high school. I attended private school, where the mandatory uniform was a pleated navy blue skirt, paired with an equally boring cotton polo t-shirt (similar to the pink one Lindsay Lohan wore in Mean Girls on Wednesday...pre-hab.) The girls of Gossip Girl make styling up their uniforms look so easy! However, this is where I learned how important accessories are to a girl's wardrobe. Even in your worst outfit, there are ways to personalize it, making it more fashion forward. Be creative with your handbags (d'andrea, duh!), headbands, jewelry and flats! That's why I love the business I'm in, because I believe in our handbags, that they are staple, timeless, pieces.
My "everyday" handbag is perect for the PR girl, he's big enough to hold my laptop, ALL of my Iphones, my Samsung Galaxy Camera, my makeup bag, an extra pair of shoes. You know, the essentials: Mr. Arrogant ♥
Of course my job has it's perks. The first being that I get to spend every day with our designer, Nicole who has become the best mentor and friend to me! The traveling, meeting people, and working in handbag heaven, with an endless supply of Misters isn't so bad either. But my favorite part, and the purpose of my blog, is connecting with all of the d'andrea lovers out there! I love sharing our crazy stories behind the scenes of this fashion frenzy with you guys! I love hearing from you, and having you share all of your wild adventures with your latest boyfriend! Writing is my number one passion, and I promise to keep you posted, if you in turn will keep me posted. Tweet, Instagram, and Facebook me - but don't forget to use the hashtag #MisterCollection, because I don't want to miss a thing! xoxo

We call my shoulder bag the "Jenna" handbag because he's my favorite! (He's even on my business card ;) He's my go-to guy for nights out on the town: Mr. Never Again ♥

The Misters Take Over the Media: The Rhode Show

Well, the inevitable has come, and the Misters had their first TV gig! Their ego is taking up the entire office over here. I gotta hand it to them though, these boys are naturals - I think they need their own reality show (the camera didn't even add ten pounds to their leather haha!) However, the one who makes all this possible, and keeps all these Misters in line, our designer Nicole D'Andrea definitely stole the show. She rocked the set! I mean, I'm sure it doesn't hurt that she had all these bad boys in front of her clouding her reality and the fact that she was on LIVE television! In case you've missed it - I've got the hook up for you. Listen closely, and you may here a SPOILER ALERT about what's in store for d'andrea...

We are so honored to have been featured on The Rhode Show. Rhode Island will always have a special place in these Misters hearts! Just a couple of small town guys hitting big cities! And how fabulous is the host Michaela Johnson? We had so much fun when she visited our office a few weeks back with her camera guy Ric aka the new Mr. Wonderful. We played dress-up, and they even got to step foot in the sacred place where all the magic happens: Nicole's design studio... I'm lucky if I even get to go in there without feeling the wrath of Mr. Never Again's spikes!!! We weren't the only ones who enjoyed having Michaela around, Mr. One-Nighter had his eyes set on her when she walked in the door. Let's just say she didn't go home alone..

Are you loving that these boys are developing their own persona as much as I am? Something good always comes out of every tragedy... even heartbreak! So try to laugh about it, and then call them out on live TV! ;) xoxo

NYFW: Behind the Scenes of My Crazy World

Sorry for leaving you with a cliff hanger in my last post dolls! Have you been wondering who the latest lucky lady to meet our Misters is? Well, I had the exclusive invite to kick off fashion week right at the GBK and FGI Opening Party hosted by the one-and-only, legendary stylist behind Sex and the City: Patricia Field. She is everything you would imagine, sassy, classy, and dressed to kill.  Closets all over the world are inspired by the women of this show. I've always considered myself more of a Samantha - except I have similar taste in men as Carrie, with a Mr. Big of my own. A handbag designed by my favorite d'andrea girl, that will never leave you on your wedding day, dressed in a Vivienne Westwood! ;)
The next couple of days of New York Fashion Week were unreal. And even though we were toughing it out in our 4 inch heels enduring 12 hour days, I still can say that it went by way too fast! We spent Friday, and Saturday at the Empire Hotel where we had the pleasure of meeting some well known people in this industry! Jay Manuel and Miss J of “America’s Next Top Model” gave our designer Nicole their stamp of approval on her handbags. Celebrity Stylist June Ambrose and her fabulous daughter showed up, showing us all a thing or two about working the camera! Ice-T and Coco Austin showed up, and let me tell you us girls have never been so star struck! Coco even landed herself a silver studded Mr. Never Again. I'd love to see how Ice is going to match his outfit to this one...I was excited to meet the hilarious “Big Ang", her daughter Raquel, and Carla Facciolo of VH1’s “Mob Wives." Adrienne Bailon stunned all of our Misters when she walked in the room, she is flawless!  Some more Sex and the City ladies, Katie Findlay and Chloe Bridges of The “Carries Diaries” had a few laughs about carrying the same handbag! Then, Siggly Flicker and Nicole really hit it off! They have a very similar sense of style - peplums anyone? And to namedrop a few more girls on the list, Po Johnson from “La La’s Full Court Life” and Annaleigh Ashford of Broadway’s “Kinky Boots” left the lounge, and went home with Mr. Right-Now! Scroll down to see the rest of the guests on the list! What can I say... A girl's gotta have bragging rights to her FIRST fashion week!

On our downtime, Nicole and I had the chance to run around the city and play a bit! You know we had to check out what Bergdoff's, Barney's New York and Henri Bendel were carrying. Oh, and we just couldn't leave empty handed from the New York Zara. I'm totally loving their hippie headbands, I picked up a few. Everything is bigger and better in NYC, and speaking of bigger and better, we experienced the Dream Dry blowout bar! My stylist gave my hair more volume than I knew even existed. We carried our diva moments into the night, while having drinks either by the bar, or rooftop with one of our new favorite girls, blogger SocietyGrl.

It's good to be home and back in the office where I belong with all of my Misters! After this event, this PR girl has a lot of work ahead of her. But it won't be long until we hit the road again...I wonder what city these boys will take over next, and the surprises to come! xoxo
